FateExtra will return once again on PSP in 2025

Fate/Extra is an engaging RPG within the Fate series, transporting players into a parallel world alongside Fate/Stay Night. Developed collaboratively by Type-Moon and Imageepoch over several years, the game first launched in Japan in July 2010. It later traveled to North America and Europe, giving Western fans the opportunity to embark on this thrilling adventure in 2011 and 2012.

But that’s not all! In 2020, Bandai Namco shared some exciting news, announcing that Fate/Extra would be remade under the name Fate/Extra Record. Four years later, at FGO Fest 2024, fans finally got to see the first trailer, showcasing spectacular battles and captivating stories, revealing that 2025 will be the year the game returns.

Although initially released only in Japan, the allure of Fate/Extra Record might make it impossible to ignore international fans. The game received much praise for its blend of dungeon exploration and visual novel-style storytelling, creating a unique experience.

For loyal fans, Fate/Extra has always been one of the gems on PSP. Now, with the remake set to launch on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC, it promises to bring great joy to the gaming community. If Fate/Extra Record succeeds, who knows? Type-Moon might even consider remaking Fate/Extra CCC, the companion game that never saw release outside Japan. Let’s look forward to more surprises in the future!
